News 2006

  January 2006
We had a warm holiday season, and we enjoyed New Years Eve with a bonfire and fireworks. Thanks to Melissa and Julian from the Northwest Territories for  joining us and for the wonderful artwork you've put into our guestbook!
Not much snow this year so far! It was easy to make an ice rink on the lake. But after a windy day we have to shovel and shovel again, of course with  Lukas helping a lot.

Skaters welcome!

  August 2006

We are looking back on a busy summer. Sorry that we didn't make an update earlier, but winter will arrive for sure and with it more time for computer work.

But before this, we are hoping for a colourful fall! The bears are busy  feeding on the ripe berries.

  December 2006

This year we took the chance to make a trip to Europe! One week in Spain and almost 4 weeks in Switzerland. We really enjoyed to see our families and friends again - it was great! We warmly thank Rita and Erwin who looked so well after our place during this time. It was an unusually cold November here in the Yukon - minus 40 and below - but we found a warm and cozy house upon our arrival.

We are looking back on a busy summer with many nice and interesting guests from different countries and parts of the world - once again there was not much time doing updates of the news. I'm planning on doing better in 2007!

Just before the old year ends we want to share some pictures of the summer season with you.

Thanks to those who sent their great pictures!

Winter is around the corner...
